  Just started watching Misfits

  and finished series 2 today. Watched the first episode of series 3 and Nathan was gone and it hurt too much.

  So have stopped for now (possibly forever).

  To celebrate Sinister Sartorialist being 1 year old today I’m having a contest. In the image above you can see 3 charms. I absolutely adore the lolita skeleton cameo style and I bought a bunch of them over a year ago. Recently I finally found some settings that go well with them and now I want to make something with them. As a prize, I am going to give one of you some jewelry made with one of the cameos.

  The winner can choose the color of the cameo and whether they want:

  • A necklace,
  • A ring, or
  • A brooch

  Johnlock vs. Drarry

  So just today I started reading Drarry again after only Johnlock for months… And I thought I’d make a list of the similarities between characters because SERIOUSLY.

  Sherlock/Draco:

  • Upper class
  • Sarcastic
  • Fine-boned, pale, slender, tall (mostly) etc.
  • Don’t always understand cultural (Muggle) references
  • Sort of morally ambiguous (not sure if good or evil or somewhere in between)

  - In fandom:

  • Often the smarter of the pair
  • Sometimes more sexually active/more partners (ie. gay-sex-god!Draco/gay-sex-god!Sherlock - although clearly Sherlock is also often portrayed as asexual. I don’t think I have really read any fics where John is a gay sex god, and Draco definitely trumps Harry for that role)
  • Typically ice queens.

  John/Harry

  • Brave - associated with hard times, ie. John in the military, Harry growing up poor and fighting Voldemort, etc.
  • Middle class
  • More compassionate
  • Stockier build/shorter/whatever
  • Morally good. You can depend on it.

  - In fandom:

  • In their parings, they usually have the sexual identity crisis.
  • Portrayed as longing for stability: marriage, children, etc.
  • Slower to catch on to things
  • Often lose patience fairly quickly. Depends on the writer though.

  Anyhow, that’s all I have come up with for now. There are probably more. Any thoughts?
